Current Gen accessories on Xbox One Empty
PostSubject: Current Gen accessories on Xbox One   Current Gen accessories on Xbox One Icon_minitimeTue Jun 11, 2013 9:25 pm

So with the big talk about the Xbox One and not being able to use your headsets (Astros, TB etc.) I was thinking I haven't exactly seen anywhere where they say your Xbox 360 controllers won't work on the Xbox One. The button layout is exactly the same with only the home button moved up, and I really can't see them moving away from USB ports. With that being said if we're still able to use our wired Xbox 360 controllers (Scuf or whatnot), we should be able to still use our current gen headsets. Just something I have been thinking about and something I really hope ends up working as I don't feel like buying a new headset. (Although if you have Astros+Mixamp I feel Astro will offer a cord that goes from the mixamp to new Xbox One controller)

tl;dr: Damages don't be lazy and read the fucking post

lol!

But I'm almost positive that headset makers will offer some type of adaptor to use your headsets with next-gen.No way someone like Astro will sell a $300 dollar headset without some ability to use it.

As for controllers...I'm really not sure but I don't think so.I know the new xbox's have some new type of connection between the controller and the console that prevents the use of wireless controllers right off the bat.I had heard that wired controllers wouldn't be used on either console, but that could be easy to change.

I'm thinking you won't be able to use old controllers because the new ones have the sensor that allows kinect to sense it. And I'm thinking it probably won't work with a kinect-less sensor like it probably won't work if the camera can't see.

But i'm sure headset adapters will be coming. I doubt microsoft would want to shaft the headset companies.
